iCab Mobile (Web Browser) App Reviews

This is a great browser for "i" devices. It offers many user settings that are very nice. I change the web browser id often myself for compatibility reasons on one site I visit. Having this feature easily accessible is great. I use iCab as my primary browser.

It may be a great browser, but nobody knows because they CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE IT. What a mess. Its just about the worst Ive ever seen. Wait, it IS the worst Ive ever seen.

The browser does not support the ("standard share sheet") Apples extensions very well. The support feels tacked on. Some of the modules or bookmarklets should be removed, because the service does not exist anymore, e.g., Zootool. The Pinner module has a "callback" error. I cant see, to backup my admin/user account.

Revising a previous review again, because I finally got fed up and deleted this buggy piece of garbage from my iPad. Good luck using this with Facebook or Twitter or any other website that was written after 1995. I just had to reenter the same FB post six times, and still wasnt able to submit it before this app screwed me over and erased it AGAIN. Im sick of the page jumping around what Im trying to type, Im sick of having to jump in and out of feels repeatedly, wallet move the page around, and slide since under my finger to make sure that I click links leaving the page and lose everything I just typed. Developer completely unresponsive, bugs have been around forever, and he ignores emails about it. So totally done being frustrated by this piece of junk.

When I select no image to load even then image is loading. Fix it please.

After reading and rereading all comments, pro and con, I downloaded the app. I then had some questions. Result? In less than two hours, and allowing for major time differences, I received a gracious, precise and detailed response to each of my multiple questions. As they used to say, Houston, we have a liftoff!!! I dont know the specifics re those critical of the app, but my experience is 100% consistent with those giving the app five stars!

Clause is the most efficient app programmer in the store. This browser has more features and options than any other and yet is still only 14mb. If only all apps were written as smartly as this one. Major cudos!

This app has provided unmatched flexibility and power to a very wide range of use cases for a browser with integrated capabilities and third-party extensions support. I cannot say enough about the commitment of the developer to keep iCab Mobile current for each version of iOS and always highly relevant for the modern web.

This app has resided on page 1 of my springboard homescreen for over 5 years. It is superb in every way and I have immediately taken the opportunity to further support the developer here via the in-app "tipping". iCab is such a gem, and if there were options to tip higher amounts, I would. This title has been continuously maintained without lapse and provides incredibly deep technical functionality, customizability, and wide versatility. If you have more than average needs, and set aside the time to dive in, you will realize iCab can be so much more than just another App Store browser. The implementation of UI customization options, filtering, plugins, file handling, media handling, privacy and kiosk modes, and immense general configurability lead to a remarkably unique product here. The availability of iCab and its feature set is a key element that allows me to fully function within the iOS ecosystem. Not everyone has the same technical needs, but for me iCab is an essential product and I really cant thank the developer enough for delivering this. Bravo!!

Woke up today to yet another in a series of seemingly endless improvements and refinements to an already a great browser. This is a no-brainer easy buy and absolutely worth tipping for if you already own it.

Best iOS web browser, by far. There is also a OSX version for the Mac. Both are essentials.

Theres a lot to like in this browser but theres one feature Ive found nowhere else - the ability to download files in a browser. Im a sailor and I need to download GPX files (routes) to my iPad for navigation. ICab is the only browser Ive found with this capability. Sure, there are all the options in the app that make the use of the app much better than the competition such as the full screen mode where every pixel is devoted to displaying the webpage. The ad blocker is not only helpful, it also saves you money with your wireless carrier by not downloading ads. You can customize the browser to your hearts content, amazing range of choices but the built in downloaded sealed the deal for me.

This app has to be one of oldest browser thats constantly being updated with new features. Thanks for always updating and making app better. I will make an in-app purchase to support this awesome developer.

For me, the best reason to own iPads and iPhones is iCab Mobile. This browser puts all others in the remedial classes. It comes with an impressive array of free plugin modules, ad blockers, and data sharing/storage links, and can be customized to be anyones dream browser. It feels like home. ICab Mobile is the best of the Apple App Store. Even the need for funds for future improvements has been handled as new in app purchases, arranged as duly grateful tips. A tip buys a nice bookmark color coding option. I chose the $2.99 Generous Tip, and the app is still a huge bargain. Although it works fine without the tips, I hope everyone will consider how much Mr. Clauss has given us with this wonderful browser and reward him with a nice tip.

I love your app. I have been very surprised that even as a pay once app that there has been regular updates. I am happy to see your tip model. I do hope you receive enough tips to reward you for continuing to develop this awesome web browser.

ICab is the best web browser available on the App Store, bar none. It has all the features Safari shouldve contained and then some. Well worth the price. I have been using it since the iPhone 4 in 2010 and it has never disappointed.

A couple of years ago, I wrote this: After an extenstive search for browsers on my iPad, I have found the one! ICab Mobile does it all and more. I have bought all others and tested them very extensive, but was not satisfied, until now. Very nice user interface, fast, ease of use, gestures, full screen browsing, upload and downloading, links with Dropbox...... Did I already mention that it covers all and even more ? ;-) Please keep the updates coming and keep the edge you have above all others! You are the best! Of course he deserves the generous tip! I have paid it with pleasure! This app is a must have and should be on everyones iphone and ipad.

Safari is passable if you dont mind having little control over your browsing experience. Chrome is style over substance. But iCab is not only clean, intuitive and powerful, but slim as well (30% the size of Chrome, yet more powerful and feature-rich). Responsive developer, too. Like it so much I paid for upgrade (& "tip) even though I dont need the features, just to support the dev.
