Outstanding Browser and Support

Ive been a user of iCab Mobile for quite a while now. Having tried Dolphin, Mercury, Chrome and of course Safari I can say this browser beats them all combined. It has more features on just one or two of its configuration pages than most browsers have in total. That may be no good for someone who is satisfied with the basics, but if you are even an above average user, you will love it. Im writing this review though because I just worked through an issue with support (Alexander Clauss, the developer) and was impressed by both his friendliness and his quick response time. Never have I had such a great experience with an app or support for the app.

Perfect 10!

Browsing never felt this good. Fast, lot customization available and downloads with no problem. Keep up the good work.

So useful!

Thank you for the continued support of this outstanding app! Simply amazing!

I love this browser!

This is a great browser for "i" devices. It offers many user settings that are very nice. I change the web browser id often myself for compatibility reasons on one site I visit. Having this feature easily accessible is great. I use iCab as my primary browser.

Private & flexible

This browser has been around for the Mac for a long time. It is so customizable it takes a while to set up to your liking but it is nice to have the ability to do it. Once done it is done. Additionally it is private. Blocking cookies really blocks them. Turn off cookies in Safari, browse the web for a few minutes and see how many cookies you have collected. My browser of choice.

iCab Mobile is the best web browser‼️

Ive used iCab Mobile for years and it is superb. The 9.2 version release went smoothly for me, with no hiccups on my iPhone 6 running iOS 9.2. The browser is extremely flexible but is easy to use without a lot of fiddling with configuration settings. Get iCab Mobile; youll love it!

Best iOS browser, bar-none.

Not only is it supper customizable but the developer is super responsive and quick to provide support. No wonder why it is the best!

Utility Belt for the Internet: Elegant and Extensible

This is everything I look for in an ideal iOS app. iCab balances an elegant UX with deep customization controls. If ever I want to do something more with a website than use the iOS share sheet I bring it from Safari into iCab with the Open in iCab extension. Just two taps to bring any site into iCabs powerful script and module environment. Hundreds a modules connect any site to about 100 web services and functions. The gesture system makes it possible to bind anything to a simple drawing. I swipe diagonal to send the page to Pocket. The entire UI is exposed in the settings, so the toolbars provide only the functions that I use and there is only barely more chrome than Safari.

Crashes a lot

The last couple of updates have made this unusable. It crashes every few minutes.

....

I expected more, but with its many functions I suppose it works for some but for me it was just rather too much and its all over... But the main reason I dont see its top ratings is that it crashes every time.

Crash

Crashes often on iPad Air 2nwith recent version of iOS. Even on the iPad Pro. Its never been the same after the first iOS 8 update. Would like an easier / faster way to rename downloaded files.

This is the best browser

Plain and simple this is the best one. Its got so many ease of use features, little things and things you dont notice at first. My favorite feature is the capability to draw freehand the first letter of a web site. ICab Mobile is easily trained to recognize my penmanship and opens the page immediately. One really bad feature: it occasionally disappears. Pffft and its gone. Nothings visible. Just gone! And its done this for a few years now.... I downgraded my review because this disappearing act is too frequent.

Indispensable browser app

ICab Mobile offers an amazing array of useful functions, tools and features that make browsing the Internet on a mobile device more like a desktop experience. The degree of customization is incredible, and the developer is not only quick to reply and implement requests, but a very nice guy. ICab isnt my main browser, but it gets used a lot - particularly when I am in need of more than a quick read.

Best browser ever!

Absolutely the best browser, period... Possibly the most useful app on iOS. The customizations and multiple profiles make it perfect. Developer is great and very responsive to updates and features.

Simply put, the best iOS browser

Update 2/8/16: Another solid update. Amazingly, developer fixed a bug I reported a week ago. Love the new keyboard add-on. Has officially joined my short list of must have iOS apps. Update 1/15/16: The app gets better and better. Whats especially amazing is to see a feature added to the app after I suggested it just a couple of weeks ago. Original Review: Sounds like hyperbole but its not. This is simply the best iOS browser. Feature filled, highly configurable, great on both iPhone and iPad, constant meaningful updates, and a very responsive developer. Check out the version history on this app. All those updates are a great indicator of the love and attention the developer has for this app.

How do I unhide the address bar?

I just tapped a button on the address bar and it became invisible! Now I couldnt find any button to unhide it, and I couldnt even access the settings after the tab bar got hidden!

Uh oh. My favorite browser just got glitchy.

I know this is transitional, because these folks stay on top of things. So, I have an iPhone 5, and my browser has started freezing right after the last update. On one occasion it even got me the bluish gray screen of death, i.e. it completely froze my iPhone, an unheard of event prior to this. I have to confess that I have a bunch of pages open, but before the update I had more. Its possible its just a case of "the bigger the program, the more memory issues" on my aging iPhone. Sigh. Its still the best browser out there.

Ive had it for a few weeks now. Newest review.

Well Ive been toying with it for a couple of weeks now. It is my primary browser but I have been falling back to Puffin due to the speed. On iCabMobile it is just horribly slow. I have since disabled my filters in hopes of speeding it up, but opening pages from the Quickstarter is unbearably slow. Dolphin really has a nice layout similar to Quickstarter, but its a lot better than Quickstarter and not slow. I can deal with the really in-depth settings, but the speed is becoming an issue. Also, it crashes on occasion. Previous review: I have tried Mercury, Dolphin, Puffin, Photon, Chrome, Firefox, and of course Safari plus quite a few less popular ones. This is the BEST browser on the market. Practically fully customizable. Runs great. Plays videos. It runs faster than Dolphin but slower than Puffin. It really goes in depth. I spent a good couple of hours customizing it. When I couldnt figure out how to customize the Quickstarter option the developer was quick to respond with how to edit them along with answering a few of my other questions. Very very pleased!!

Great

One of the most powerfull browsers in Appstore!

Best browser ever.

Ever. Such attention to detail, great features that teach you how to use your browser and thus the Internet better. Great app.
