iCab Mobile (Web Browser) App Reviews

Killer Feature: The frequently updated iCab Mobile can upload and download files to many web pages, unlike Mobile Safari. And thats just one of its many features. This is an essential app for power users.

This app stinks. It was mediocre at first at best only because it could do flash...now its slow and just doesnt cut it. I really dont buy the other reviews...

I cannot even use the browser after the last update. It does not load at all. It just cycles to a white screen whenever I try to load a page. Sadly Im better off using safari until its fixed. My iOS is up-to-date on a 6 plus. I have tried deleting and reinstalling. It only fixed the problem for one use.

I used to have video problems. You fixed that. Now the app keeps freezing up. This app is worth nothing now icab you rats!

I have used many browsers. Most seem to stop updating their app after a year and it breaks. This browser application is very full featured and the developer updates constantly over many years and is responsive. Developer Seems to actually love his creation. 5 stars! My favorite features are Custom Gestures, ad blocking, modules/add-ons, and customizable full screen mode and transparencies! Dont be hesitant to pay $1.99 for this app because you are used to free browsers :) it is a very robust mobile browser worth every penny.

Overall, the best web browser for the iPad. Wish it could be the default.

Finally. I have bought soo many other browsers and none of them were better than chrome or safari. This one beats them by a landslide.

Really love this app!

Still have iLegendSoft Incs v9.0.10 Mercury browser (classic) on an iPad with iOS 8.1.2 – heard whoever has Mercury now has trashed it. Classic Mercury is fast and clever – been using Mercury for years, however sometimes now some Microsoft websites will cause classic Mercury to crash. iCabMobile is stable, almost as fast rendering, and has the all-important Private mode where cookies are tossed after exiting the app. Occassionally when pulling up NOAA weather the icons for rain or sun end up in the wrong locations on the page mixed up with other icons, necessitating a reload. Have yet to figure out how to enable a Yakuza theme. Glad to have found iCabMobile.

The adblock works better than most content blockers for Safari. Theres some interface weirdness but overall its a really good alternative to the sadly defunct Mercury browser.

This is easily the browser with the most configurations that I know of. Everything possible has been thought of to make a good browsing experience for the user. And it appears that its maintained by one person!! Its not slow either, and I have a lot of apps on my old iPad 2. Its never crashed on me and as I mentioned before, I love all the options available to customize your browsing experience. This app should definitely receive more attention and praise than it has. It should be an essentials app. There are dozens of configurations, all for the user and its very inexpensive. I think the developer should be commended for keeping the app so inexpensive. Youre doing a great job and good luck with all your future apps!

This has to be the best web browser I have used on a mobile device. Tons of features and very fast and stable. Highly recommended. Keep up the great work!

Great alternative to Safari

With the update, iCab wont open or start up. Just crash after crash on my ipad retina.

This is like the biggest hidden gem of the app store. I call it the FireFox of iOS. As customizable as it can get. Closest experience to desktop browsing. I paid for this once like back in 2010, I still get free upgrades! I am willing to pay again

The latest iOS update broke it. Starts to load a search but just hangs

I just purchased the new iPad Pro. This browser is failing to connect to most sites on the new iPad. I tried Safari had no problems connecting.

This is the most feature-rich browser Im aware of. There are loads of options one can play with to their hearts desire. The developer answers questions and is always updating. A recommended browser for sure.
